The purpose of a PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is to foster collaboration among parents, teachers, and school staff to support and enhance the educational experience of all students. We promote parent involvement by encouraging families to be active participants in school activities as well as decision-making. We support student success by providing resources to promote academic, social and emotional development. We build a strong sense of community by strengthening the relationships between staff and students. We raise money for student needs such as field trips, educational resources, and assemblies. The School 13 PTA bridges the gap between Home and School creating a strong and engaging learning community for our Jr Mustangs.
Over the years, the PTA has played a key role in enhancing the school experience for students, teachers, and families alike. From organizing fun and engaging events like the annual school carnival and holiday celebrations to raising funds for classroom supplies and educational programs, we’ve made a lasting impact on our school community.
Some of our recent achievements include:
Fundraising for New Technology: Raised funds to provide the latest technology and resources for classrooms, ensuring that students have access to the best tools for learning.
Support for Teacher Appreciation: Organized events and initiatives to recognize and celebrate our incredible teachers and staff.
Community Engagement: Hosted family events and school-wide activities to strengthen the connection between students, parents, and teachers.
Grants for Enrichment Programs: Provided financial support for after-school programs, field trips, and special projects that enhance students' learning experiences.
Through collaboration and dedication, we continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our children and the future of our school.
